Question: what is it like bieng a scientist

It is fun being a scientist, but it can also be quite hard going sometimes as things often do not work out the way you would hope! The best thing about a job in research is that we get to find out things that know one else ever has before which is pretty cool. Also, we get to go on lots of courses and travel to conferences to meet other scientists. This year I went on a powerboat course to learn to drive the boat and also went to Barcelona to present my work at a conference (sunshine!). These sort of things make all the hard work in the lab worth the effort!
