Question: When Elon Musk launched his Tesla into space do you believe it was an egotistical self indulged act of narcissism or was he doing it for science and a but of a joke?

I didn’t really know so much about Elon Musk so I did a bit of reading to see what his personality was like.

After all of this I didn’t really get the sense that he was a super egotistical person, but more that he was fanatically obsessed by his two companies Telsa and SpaceX. It the light of that it might make sense that he combined the two with his actions.

Having said that, he could of course be the worlds biggest egotistical narcisist.

But.

I would say the two biggest results of his actions are:

1. People are talking about, space and space exploration more. Which I would say is a good thing.

2. By doing something that on the face of it was simply “silly” he is starting to demystify space exploration which way be the first step towards being comfortable as humans with space exploration and potential colonisation of other worlds etc.

Anyway these are just opinions.
