I admire people who improve the life’s of others, I hope that I can do that. I also admire scientists who identify a really unique problem that nobody else has ever realised is a problem that needs to be solved. I think these two qualities I would really like to have.

I admire people with good organisational skills, because mine are terrible – I’m always losing things and forgetting stuff! I also admire people who have a good “bullshit detector” and can tell straight away when an experiment won’t help or an argument doesn’t work – I always have to think it through, but some people seem to have a natural instinct.

I admire scientists who are also parents, because they always seem to be the best organised people in the lab, and I don’t know how they do it!

Actually, I really like creative people, both those who are creative artistically, but those who can really think outside of the box. The kind of people who can think up stuff you’d never of thought of! I really admire that and wish I was more creative!
