      As a chemist I’d say diamond. They use it when drilling to cut through rock. Other scientists may say other things, depends on your definition of ‘strong’.

      Apparently graphene is the strongest material on Earth. It is also made of carbon but arranged in a different way. It was discovered in 2004.

      As for the universe, I have no idea…
