A black hole has a very large gravitational pull.

The largest known star is called VY Canis Majoris and is about 2000 times larger than our sun. The strength of gravity on the “surface” of the sun is 28 times stronger than the force of gravity on the surface of the Earth. So VY Canis Majoris would have a gravitational pull of about 56,000 times that of earth. Yep you would be squashed (and pretty badly sunburnt)
