Absolutely. Science is trying to understand stuff and figure out how things work by investigating them. Its is also lots of fun and rewarding because what you find can be very important to how people live. In what I do, trying to figure out whether people’s homes will flood and be washed away in the future, whether people will have enough water and land to grow food and whether energy can be extracted via hydropower with minimal impact on the people who live downstream.
You get to really use your brain every day and get to do something that makes you excited.
As you can see from the different subjects all 5 of us have you can study whatever you find interesting and whatever you want to study and there will be people interested in it.
It can be a little annoying when your experiment doesn’t work the way you want it to but you still find out so much by the fact that your experiment didn’t work.
I love getting to use my brain and do some really fun and interesting experiments every day. And most of the time no two days are the same which is great.
Yes! But at school you don’t always get to do the best bits, I love making up new experiments to test ideas that I have had but that is quite hard to do at school. Although sometimes when your experiments aren’t working or your in the lab at 10pm it is can be less fun! This is when you need good friends 🙂
