We are increasingly dependant on electricity, and we get most of it from fossil fuels.

Fossil fuels will not only run out, because it takes millions of years to produce, but it is fundamentally changing the planet that we live on at a rate that it cannot adapt to.

The Sun gives out more energy in an hour than the whole Earth would use in a year! So we have a source of energy that is not only more than enough for us, but doesn’t produce harmful emissions.
It also allows remote communities to have electricity as they can produce their own rather than needing pylons etc to be installed to connect them to the grid.
