I didn’t really know. Nobody in my family had gone to university, so I didn’t expect that I would either. My biology teacher encouraged me and it was really only when I was in my third year of university studies, and I found the subject of human anatomy, that I know this would be core to everything that I wanted to do. So I would have been around 20-21 years of age.

I didn’t know. I was really interested in how things worked, and was always asking questions. Things changed when I went to university, and grew up. I wanted to help people in some way though, I know that…

I changed my mind on an almost daily basis! Thoughts were: impersonator, rocket scientist, brain surgeon, dancer, lawyer, linguist… I can now see that’s because a lot of things interested me but nothing made me stop and think “wow”, until I found forensics 😉. A perfect example of following your heart and doing what truly interests you, not what you think you ought to be doing.
