• Question: How long does it take to fully recreate the face from a skull?

      Dear Zachary H,

      To create the shape of the face from the skull, it will usually take me about 2 days if I work from 9am -5pm. It will take longer if the skull is in fragments. For a 2D black and white forensic case, we can do this in one week, as we will need to check each other’s work.
      If we want to make a colour realistic 3D presentation for an archaeological case, this will involve CGI like in the movies to make the face look more realistic, this takes ages! usually around 3 months of work.
