I wanted to be a scientist or a doctor when I was young. Later in my teens, I wanted to be a designer and joined a design school. My work and later years in my master’s degree took me towards technology. Where my master’s thesis was about food and sustainability and it inspired me to look at this space further and lead to a Ph.D. So, my life is a journey trying to follow my passion.
When I left school I wanted to be a plant scientist. Maybe because I spent so much time outdoors as a kid. Then my interests changed to food. I’ve always loved sports, so it’s only natural I guess that I drifted into sports nutrition. But I didn’t even know what a sports nutritionist was when I was at school! Let alone that I’d be working with some of the best athletes in the world to improve their sports through what they eat and drink!
Hey Brandon,
Yes pretty much. I knew I wanted to work with microbes and change the world however I could, so this was a natural place to end up.
Just keep heading towards something that makes you passionate, and you’ll be fine!
