I’m not a very good cook, but check out BBC food recipes for some pointers!

Lots of chilli, I guess XD

Yep. Chilli, beans, mince – I use quorn mince cos I don’t eat meat. This recipe’s a good one: https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/beef-recipes/good-old-chilli-con-carne/

I usually chuck in some peppers and stuff because I’m a nutritionist so like to make people eat veg.

As to how I make chilli con carne in my house, it’s usually something like this:

Kids “I don’t like Chilli. I like toast”
Me: “You can’t just eat toast it’ll make you ill”
      Kids “WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”

Two seconds later (and usually at the top of their voices even though I’m stood right next to them)
      Kids “MMMMMMMMMUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMM I WANT MILK!”
      I give them milk
Kids: “NOOOOOO not in that cup. I want it in the blue one”
Me : “That is a blue cup”
Kids: “no I want THAT blue cup” *points to an identical blue cup. Usually his sisters…..

That goes on for pretty much the entire time I’m making the chilli. Which will probably be served on the wrong colour plate. I never realised before I became a parent how easy it was to ruin someone’s day that way……..

I like making vegetable chili – this is one of my fav recipes https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/vegetables-recipes/veggie-chilli/
A square of chocolate or some cocoa powder is also quite good in chilli!
