• Question: Does any one know what the best food to eat be four a athletic event e.g. for people who just wanted to do one marifon.

      Pasta’s really good for something to eat before. It gives you lost of slow-release energy. And chocolate milk is a great choice for after training – it gives your muscles the energy they need and the protein they need to help recover.

      Marathon runners usually do something before they race called carb-loading, which is where they eat about double the amount of carbohydrates they’d normally do – this stocks their muscles up so they have plenty of energy for the race. It’s amazing the amount of food you have to eat – bread, pasta, cake. It’s loads of food!

      Hello Jack

      I am training for a marathon but for a small one only 5 kilometers. I try to eat a good wholesome meal in the day and a banana or some chocolate just before I go for a run.
