Question: What do you think about,IVF treatment,Do you think that the NHS should pay for the treatment? what are your views on the treatment?

IVF is seen very differently here in the US as it’s paid for by the people who want it, not by a government agency like the NHS.
Medically, I think it’s an important and impressive technology. Personally I don’t know that it’s something I would chose for myself. What do you think?

I can see why IVF allows people who cannot have babies, perhaps for medical reasons to have them – so think that IVF can be a really positive thing allowing them to have them
If they are able to care and look after the baby then I don’t see why the NHS shouldn’t pay for it, at least for the first attempt at the treatment.

IVF helps couples with fertility problems and I think the NHS should provide this care (up to a point). Its very expensive so I don’t think the NHS should keep paying for it for couples who have to go through endless cycles. After a certain point, people should have to pay for it themselves.

I think it’s a great development that allows women to become mothers.
I hope that people will still consider adoption, because there are so many babies born who don’t have anyone to love them and take care of them.
The NHS pays for IVF, which is good, but I think that treatments that save peoples lives should be given higher priority.
