I agree with you, but since being in Edinburgh I’ve been teased about how I pronounce iron! I say eye-un, most Scottish people say eye-run.

Ununoctium doesn’t exist anymore! It’s now called oganesson, because they’ve done enough to fully confirm its existence and can now give it a proper name. The experiments that they do to discover new elements are insane with the low statistics that they get. They only need a few atoms to hit the detector – they are really confident that there’s virtually no noise in the detectors, so everything they see is the new element!

Which also sadly means that unununium is also no longer a thing 🙁 I wish they kept that one
