I tried to break revision down into manageable chunks and then reward myself with something when I finished one. I also took lots of walks outside whenever I could – there’s a lot of research to suggest that regular contact with outdoor green spaces (gardens, parks etc.) helps to reduce stress!

I liked having a list I could tick off, and also found revising in different ways helped — so sometimes at a table, sometimes curled up in a chair reading notes. I don’t know how much you use computers/tablets to revise, but if you do, mix that up with paper notes.

I kept my hobbies (dance lessons etc) going throughout revision and exams when I could, it was nice to go and focus on something entirely different. If you’re on study leave, sometimes even going to the shops with your mum or something helps you get away from it for a bit.
