It would be nice to win! I am quite a competitive person. I would make some top trumps style cards with different types of electricity generation on them. From there I’d either do some outreach in local schools myself with them, or I’d join up with the university’s physics outreach society.

I’d love it! Hopefully it would mean that lots of you had enjoyed talking to me, which would be nice 🙂

I’d use the money to buy some equipment for Tiny Tots’ science which is a set of experiments I’ve designed to take to pre-schools and toddler groups, aimed at under-5s and their parents/carers. There’s some more information and some pictures of events I’ve done on my profile if you’d like to have a look: https://fleroviumm20.imascientist.org.uk/profile/emilygoddard/

Winning would make me really happy 🙂 but I’d still enjoy talking about the science regardless! If I do win, I’d put the money towards an outreach stall my research group are planning to take to Glastonbury Festival this year. Every year Glastonbury runs a Green Field, where people come together to celebrate things like the environment, alongside the music. My team are working with a local Leeds artist to create a 3D art installation that we could take with us to Glastonbury, where people can come and learn about insect conservation and create their own origami insects from recycled plastic packaging.
