It depends what you mean by “theory”. In science, a theory is an explanation for some kind of phenomena that has been tested over and over again, usually over a long time, and is now currently accepted as being correct. So, the theory of evolution by natural selection is the accepted explanation for the variety of life on Earth. I haven’t ever put forward a theory in this sense – I am nowhere near that old or that good!
Also, as strange as it sounds, science doesn’t work by proving things but by disproving things. You can use evidence to disprove a hypothesis or a theory, but you can’t use it to prove one because we never have access to *all* the evidence – there may always be something undiscovered that might disprove your theory later on.
