      They might be! We’ve never seen them though. That might change with the James Webb Space Telescope (when they finally finish it), which will be able to see oxygen in the atmosphere of extrasolar planets (which probably means aliens).

      There’s no reason why life shouldn’t exist elsewhere in the universe, but we don’t really know what that life would look like. It could be single-celled organisms, or something more complex.
