Hello,
It used to be we only looked at rocks. Over the last 20 years, the job has grown to include all the things rocks interact with. We look at water, the atmosphere, even other planets and suns.
Geologists are also key scientists looking at climate change. Some of my work is on climate change mitigation through an application of science and engineering called Carbon Capture and Storage.
Regards
John
