That’s a very difficult question to answer, but one answer might be by what we call feedback. All organs talk to each other and work to make each other work more or less hard depending on what’s needed. For example, your lungs help deliver oxygen to the rest of your body. If your body needs more oxygen, you will breath quicker. If you’re hungry, your body will release chemicals that tell your brain you need to eat, this will cause you to go searching your fridge for food. We’re starting to understand more and more about how our bodies work and how our organs talk to each other, but there’s still a lot of work to be done
