Not for god, but there is some evidence that a man, possibly called Jesus, existed 2000 years ago and did some good humane things. Most of the so-called miracles could be explained away, but being so long ago, it is very difficult to get to the bottom of the truth of it all. But having faith in your life can be very rewarding.

Like Lidunka said, there is evidence of a person named Jesus. I think the reason we don’t have evidence for God is why it’s called ‘faith’ or ‘belief’. Some people do think the fact we exist is evidence enough though.

However… As much as I try and think back to how the Universe was created, I can’t get rid of the niggling feeling that there has to be something more! Guess we’ll find out one day 🙂

Science and God are spoken in two slightly different languages, it seems to me. They’re not necessarily contradictory (unless you go for a literal interpretation of your holy books). I’m not sure that science will ever prove or disprove the existence of God to everyone’s satisfaction, but science certainly helps us describe and understand the world/Universe we have very well.

So far there’s no proof of the existence of any God, though there are historical documents for Jesus and other religious figures who may have existed. Some scientists believe in a God, and some don’t – it’s a personal choice. There isn’t really any evidence to prove or disprove any Gods, and there probably never will be.

Echoing Jillian, the one thing we know for sure is that science seems like a great way of describing and understanding the universe around us, and that’s good enough for me!
