  Feels like forever, but depending on how you count it, about 30 years!

  I think I started counting myself as a scientist once I was in grad school- so since 2009!

  I started my PhD in 2012, so if being a research student counts then I’ve been a scientist for almost 3 years now. Hopefully I’ll graduate next year, stop being a student and become a ‘proper’ postdoctoral researcher!

  Hmm, a qualified scientist, probably at the end of my degree, so since 2012 🙂 But in my mind… a good few years before that!
