      A satellite is an object that orbits another object. So because the moon orbits the earth, it is known as a satellite.

      Yup I agree with Steven. The Earth has a lot of satellites. Bits of space ships, communication satellites and he moon!

      I agree with Steven and Katie. Satellites are generally kind of like attachments to a larger center. For example, satellite cities are places for people wanting to live near a big, crowded central city.
