• Question: What do you think a star is?

      The sun is a star, and a star is like the sun. They are basically huge balls of hot gas, they are so big that in their centre the hydrogen can fuse to make helium with lots of energy made as well. This is basically the same thnig that happens in a nuclear bomb, and is what makes the stars heat and light.

      Nearly all of the life on Earth lives using the energy from the Sun. Plants turn the sunlight directly into energy, then animals get their energy from eating plants, or from eating other animals that have eaten plants.
