My favourite thing is going to new places and talking to people about my work. Sometimes I have to do this at conferences, where lots of scientists all meet up and talk about their work, or sometimes I talk more informally just in a meeting or over a coffee or a beer.

I also like it when I manage to find the answer to a hard maths problem I have created. It gives me a great sense of achievement!
