• Question: Do you think that in the future there will be more types of ethnicity through us all evolving?

      Actually I think it likely that the reverse is true, that there will be less types of ethnicity. I think this because the very superficial genetic differences between people whose ancestors came from different parts of the world only really happened because people didn’t travel about much then, and so populations of humans became evolved for their local conditions. But nowadays modern medicine means that it doesn’t make any difference to your survival what ethnicity you are (discounting social effects), and people travel around much more. Therefore people from different ethnicities interbreed much more and so the differences will be eroded. But this is only my opinion – I don’t know whether there is any scientific research into this.

      I agree with Sam. In the future we will be more similar to each other as people from different parts of the world breed together.

      I also agree with what has been said. You usually get a greater diversity when different populations do not mingle. In the modern world you can pretty much go anywhere, which will slowly make us similar, I would have thought.
