• Question: Do you think it is possible for the whole of this universe (and by that I mean the planets, stars and parts of space that we are aware of and those we are not) to be part of an extra terrestrial intelligence program or just a small part of there whole world as things like knits and lice are of ours?

Maybe – we wouldn’t know would we? Or perhaps what we think is reality is actually a virtual reality created by a computer program designed by aliens. Just like in The Matrix.

Actually philosophers have for years thought about these sorts of things, about whether the world we see is “real” or not:

I can also easily imagine that. We are slowly creeping along in our knowledge of space and the physics behind our existence. The only problem is that the possibilities for what is actually going on are endless – any explanation is as good as the other until we get some data to back up one in favour of the rest. Frustrating, hey?

I think that is a fantastic idea!! Maybe that’s why we haven’t found life else where in the universe – because they are watching us….

That is interesting! I sometimes like to think we are like an experiment left by some other intelligence, to watch evolution. I know if i had the time and the technology I would most certainly set that experiment up!
