• Question: Could evolution just be a case of adaptation that we are over exaggerating?

      If there was only one example then yes you could be right. However there are now so many different examples that evolution is seen as a real process.

      Evolution produces adaptations as it causes things to change over time. So it’s not a case of over exaggerating – adaptations are evidence for evolution.

      I agree with Steven and Ed – Adaptation is what makes the process of Evolution happen, for example, when bacteria adapt to antibiotics they evolve a resistance (bad for us) or when humans adapted to life in the savannah they evolved walking on two legs (good for us). Like Steven said, there are so many thousands of examples that Evolution is really quite hard to miss once you go looking for it!

      I agree with the others, and also I’m not sure how adaptation over time could occur without evolution.
