Well I don’t think we need to start eating bugs just yet, but it’s a very real possibility in the future.
The population of the world is growing bigger every day, and with all those mouths to feed it’s becoming a little harder to find land to grow our crops, and pastures to raise our livestock.
Bugs are super healthy (if you eat the right ones!), they don’t take up a lot of space, and they aren’t fussy eaters! They’re also way more efficient at converting food into body weight, so there’s more of them for us to eat!
One guy has even said “If day-old chickens had no bones, had hair instead of feathers, and were the size of a newborn sparrow, they might taste like tarantulas”
I don’t think I could overcome my fear of spiders to eat one, but this guy seems to think they’re alright!
Anyway, it’s totally normal in places like China to eat bugs, so I think eventually we’ll start to think it’s normal as well!
