At the moment I’m spending my time analysing my results – which means a lot of time spent in front of the computer doing calculations! So I’m looking at how many blood vessels are found in the eye, and how often they branch – super fun!

I submitted a paper to a journal to be published, but it needs to go through a review process to make sure it is good enough to be published. I have some comments from referees to respond to (they’re mostly positive so I’m happy!), so I’m writing a response letter just now.

I’m answering questions in “I’m a scientist …” ha ha ha!

Also I’m proof-reading my textbook on particle physics , which is due to be published around mid-December; trying to figure out how to help some of our best young researcher ìs carry on their work despite the fact that we don’t have any new positions; I just checked a calculation for a colleague and very recently wrote a referee’s report on a paper that someone else wanted to publish (I didn’t think it was good enough and explained why); I also continually read other people’s papers to keep abreast of what’s happening.
