No, we couldn’t handle them as no-one is at home during the day (I don’t count goldfish or snails as pets).
If it were possible, I would have a cat or two although my kids would prefer dogs. I grew up with two cats almost as brothers and so feel absolutely at home with them – they also seem to be immediately at home with me.
But let me quote Winston Churchill (who? ask your teachers, parents, …):
“I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.”
I can’t say I’m so enamoured with pigs, but the perspective on cats versus dogs is about right.

No, I don’t. I would love to get a dog but have the same problem as Phil – I’m not home during the day so wouldn’t be able to look after it. Maybe one day, probably when I retire!

I’ve got a dog called Scamp, and my partner wants us to get a gecko (they live for 20 years!)
