Question: why do you want to study bacteria? what inspired you to study this?

I find infectious diseases really interesting to study because there are lots of different factors that interact and affect how well they transmit and can be treated. For example, the biology of the microorganism; the symptoms it can cause; the behaviour of people with infections; the environment that the live in.. to name a few!
