This is a very philosophical question that many great scholars have tried to answer. From a biological stand-point though, there is no real meaning, life is what you make of it and the meaning you give it. For many people around the globe, their meaning of your life is to to be a good person, to have fun, to help people, to learn lots about the world around us, to improve ourselves and our skills, to support their families or to experience different cultures….they are all great meanings for our time here!

From an evolutionary standpoint, it’s passing on your genes! You need to try and replicate as much as possible so that your genes carry on. Lots of things that animals and plants and viruses and every living thing does are about survival in order to replicate, and replication itself. For example, some humans developed the ability to digest milk as adults so that they were more likely to survive to have babies, and foxes have sharp teeth so that they can eat small mammals more easily.
