Question: What are enzymes?

Enzymes are special molecules that have a very important job to do inside the cells of the body. They usually break down other molecules or are used to start off other reactions inside the cells. Cells are very busy little things and there are lots and lots of reactions going on all the time – enzymes are all part of this and help the cell keep doing what it’s meant to!
