      It depends what you mean.

      The largest asteroid in the Solar System is called Vesta. this is an ateriod whizzing about in space.
      If you mean the largest asteroid that has ever hit earth, scientist think that one the size of Mars hit us billions of years ago, which partly led to the creation of the moon

      The biggest asteroid in the Solar System is called Vesta.
      (It used to be Ceres but that is now classed as a dwarf planet!)
