        To protect it- that’s the most important function of the skull.
        (It also helps to fix the position of your eyes and your ears in just the right place. Your brain can then work out the exact position of sights and sounds based on these positions).

        I suppose because it controls your body, its meant to be at the “head”. But also what Megan said with regards to protection by the skull.
