        Well it depends. I use a plant chemical known as glycerol which comes from cellulose. It is this glycerol that I change to biofuel using chemicals called catalysts, just to speed up the reaction and also get more biofuel out of the glycerol. The process can be from a few hours to even a day depending on how much biofuel you are getting at the experiment conditions you are using such as temperature.
