        Yes it does. Most of the time you find yourself needing to buy the things you need to do your experiments and research.

        Unfortunately yes. Research is very expensive. Luckily in this country, science is quite well funded because people seem to understand that eventually, with the discoveries we make, the investment is worth it.

        Yes, if you are a scientist and have an idea for research, you often have to “bid” for money – e,g. find a charity, company or institution who is interested in your potential results and ask them for funding. It makes science bit less secure than a “normal” job, but also more rewarding!

        Yes. Without money there would be no resources, lab space or scientists to work.
