      It’s to do with the chemical compounds in the grass! Generally, plant life contains compounds called “chlorophyll”, and these compounds absorb different colours of light. For green plants like grass, they absorb red and blue light, but don’t absorb green light. Because they don’t absorb it, they instead reflect green light which is what makes them look green to our eyes!
