0 Question: why do some food contain more oil than others? Keywords: food, nutrition, oil Asked by to Aimee on 15 Jun 2014. This question was also asked by .
Aimee Hopper answered on 15 Jun 2014:
Oil is a fat that is liquid at room temperature.
So, if food is very oily then it has a high fat content (note, not all fats are bad, so this can be a good thing i.e. oily fish).
In processed foods (like pizza), oil is added to make the food look more appealing.
