  That is a very good question. There are a lot of checks we do in the lab to make sure that there is no problem during the radiocarbon dating process. It takes about 2 weeks between the time the object (or the sample) arrive in the lab and the time we have the result about the age of the object. Feel free to continue asking me questions if you want more explanations.
