Question: what would happen if a nuclear bomb hit London

Not so much a chemistry question as a physics one but I’ll do my best here!

Assuming London, and every populated area for miles and miles around, were evacuated first. The city itself would be absolutely obliterated, and we would see the classic “Mushroom cloud” where the bomb hit. There would likely be low level radiation in the area and surrounding areas for years to come meaning nothing would grow there.
