• Question: is their boundaries that you should never cross in your work place

      There are definitely things that we can and cannot do in the workplace.

      In some areas there are physical boundaries that we are not allowed to cross. For example we have super-magnets which will attract any metal around them and we are not allowed to touch them.

      There are also other rules to protect us. I have to be trained to use every machine here, even if I have used a very similar one before. This helps to stop me breaking expensive stuff or hurting myself. If I break these rules I would probably be banned from using the machine in the future and my boss would be quite annoyed.

      Aside from the lab-specific stuff the rules are very like any other job.
