Formaldehyde is a chemical used to make several household products. It is also produced in small amounts in the human body!
However exposure to higher levels of formaldehyde has been linked to increased chances of getting cancer.

Everything is made of chemicals. Different chemicals have different levels of danger. Many, like H2O (water), are very safe but others, like chemical warfare agents, are very dangerous. Other things fall in the middle, and the danger depends on how much you get exposed to.

As many other chemicals, it depends on the quantity we are being exposed with and for how long.

It can be – but as with most things there are safety measures in place for people who handle it which keep you as safe as possible!
