In the UK you apply to university through a website called UCAS. Schools know exactly how to do this so, if you decide to go to university, they will help you.
You have to write something called a personal statement which says why you want to study that subject.

Hey! As Georgia said you apply through UCAS. You get 5 choices and they’ll come back with either a rejection, a conditional offer (where you need to get a certain grade in something) or an Unconditional (where you’re already met the entry requirements and have a place)

To add to what Georgia and Aimee said, they may also invite you to visit an open day at the university. You get to look around the buildings, see the labs and equipment they have and also meet the staff who will be teaching you. You may also get a small meeting with one of the lecturers who just wants to get to know you and go through your personal statement.

Hi! The university system is a bit different in France where I did study. You can first visit the universities during the “open days”. Then you need to apply by submitting documents and all your marks. Some universities also have an exam to enter.
