• Question: Have you ever worked with a particle collider? what was it like?

      I have not, unfortunately. That’s more of a physicist’s bag, but I’d absolutely love to visit the one at CERN

      I’ve not worked with a particle collider. I have worked with a particle accelerator though – that was cool. The building is a circle with a circumferance of over half a kilometre! In the part I was using you can use X-rays to help find out what chemical you have made, and how the molecules form a crystal. I learnt how to control two rooms of equipment from my laptop so that I can use it from anywhere in the world!
      I went to one in Hamburg where the scientists use scooters inside the building to get around because it’s so massive!

      I have never used one but would love to visit it.
