1 Question: Why is a 12-volt household battery harmless, but the shock from a 12-volt car battery will kill you? Keywords: battery, car Asked by anon-225816 to Sameed, Jose, joannabarstow, Heidi, Chris on 21 Nov 2019.
Sameed Muhammed answered on 21 Nov 2019:
It is not the voltage that kills you but the current. A 12-volt household battery cannot provide enough current, but a car batter (which has a lot more power) can provide such a high current.
