I do. I think it’s inspiring to see young people talk about their passions and get other people engaged. Climate Change is a very real threat, seeing so many people talking about it is definitely a good thing.
I do follow her. I think she’s a great inspiration, not just to young people, but to everyone, and she has a really important message for us all to tackle climate change.
Her journey to the United States by boat was particularly inspiring, as it has made me think about how I travel. Lots of conferences that scientists go to are far away, and so they have to fly to them. Some conferences have thousands of scientists using planes to get to them, and so can be a really large contributor to emissions and carbon footprint. This has made me look at using trains if I can, or if attending conferences virtually is an option.
Not really. I think her work & her voice are very important though. She was actually here in Oxford a couple of weeks ago visiting another inspirational figure, Malala Yousafzai.
