Wind does quite a few things. It moves water around in clouds which brings life to areas where there’s no rivers like the savanah. It also moves hot and cold air around and when they collide you can get some pretty gnarly weather like tornadoes and hurricanes. There’s errosion too. Mountains are being made all the time by the earth’s plates moving and wind wears them away over time.
