I think everyone taking part deserves the £500, because we’re all here for similar reasons.

I’m gonna sponsor a project that uses cool LEGO robots in schools to make science more fun!

If I’m lucky enough to win I’d spend the £500 on developing hands-on cosmology and particle physics activities. Lots of people are interested in these topics, but they’re sometimes difficult to understand. So we’d come up with hand-on activities to try and make it easier.

I would use the £500 to help support some students to attend the University of Kent Space School, who would not normally be able to afford it. This is an annual residential event here you can come and learn all about Astronomy and Planetary Sciences.

Though just being here and chatting to you all helping to show everyone and anyone can be a scientist is fantastic.

      Because I’m amazing 😉

But seriously, I think we will all spend the money in ways that people will find interesting and engaging, I’ll be happy whoever wins!

I’d use the wonga to fund travel around the UK, going into schools and academies (particularly in disadvantaged areas) where a career in science isn’t seen as an option, to show the students how they really can be the next generation of scientists and change the world 🙂
